| The
splash window is functional in the sense that it requires you to
point to your name in a drop-down list. This is how you
"logon". There is a password, which you may have to write if it
is not "saved". From here on the program knows who is operating it and it
will respond accordingly by selecting only your cases etc. You have no
access to other deputies cases
Pocket Sheriff Access saves the person's name who last logged on and automatically sets the list to that name next time you logon (but you can change it), so basically you just tap on the Logon button to logon. "Tap" is the term used instead of "click". With a Pocket PC you have no mouse or keyboard, only a stylus. A stylus is a piece of plastic that looks like a pencil. The screen is "touch sensitive", so you tap the stylus on screen controls in the same way that you would if it were a mouse. |

This loads the list with all cases having the same case number as the one you selected. In the example there are two cases matching 2960/04. As you tap from the one case to another the detail appears in the fields below the list. This way you can be sure you get the right one! When you have the correct case, just tap Next... |
