LogMeIn ASAP. LogMeIn allows us to work on your computer
because we see it on our screen as if we were sitting behind it. Once
we have the connection we can honour our promise to you. Read the

How To Get Connected
Pro Systems has a LogMeIn account. You need to link up with
it. To make this as easy as possible, we have created a custom installer package on LogMeIn.
The link below will connect you to our installer and you will be
able to install the LogMeIn software quickly and easily. You
will automatically be appended to our LogMeIn account.
When it's done, phone us on 082 565 0258 and let us know.
Connecting up has never been easier! All you need to do is
CLICK HERE (this screen will appear)
When
the installer asks for "a description for your computer" type your
office name.
For example: CAPE TOWN (we visually identify your
office by this name)
Now, you continue through the installer and let the LogMeIn
software install.
It's as easy as that.
IMPORTANT:
We'll need to login to your computer. Please set the
LogMeIn password to bigchief
(typed EXACTLY like that). It is impossible to remember a custom
password, and only we can access your machine, nobody else. Our
LogMeIn account password is secure and only we know what
it is, so your computer is safe from any would be hackers.
Nobody, we repeat...NOBODY else can see (or access) your computer.
Only we can. If you decide you don't need us, you simply tell your
LogMeIn software to "go offline". |
Method 2. You can do it yourself!
You download our software, install it and configure your server. This
method is only recommended if you are an experienced user, as there is a bit of Windows
configuring to
do.
So, what are you waiting for? Click the link to download the full

Save it on your hard drive. After the download
completes, run it (as Administrator if you have Windows Vista or
Windows 7) and do a SERVER type of installation. This installs the required
empty databases. You can install it on your other networked
computers as well, but do this using the WORKSTATION type of installation,
which does not install any databases. Only one machine may
be installed as a SERVER. |

Quick Setup For Networking (this configuration is mandatory)
1. Make the SERVER machine's computer name = server (reboot if
necessary)
2. Make the workgroup name = WORKGROUP (reboot if
necessary) This applies to every machine, not just the server.
3. Share the SERVER machine's C drive as C from the ROOT (no passwords and full
read/write permissions for everybody)
How To Run Sheriff Access
Once the software is installed you can run Sheriff Access using the desktop
shortcut. Note that if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you
must run Sheriff Access "as an Administrator" by right clicking on the
desktop shortcut and choosing "Run As Administrator" from the popup menu.
The new Initialization Wizard will walk you through the most important
steps and you'll be up-and-running in no time.
